It is a dynamic expression of life – in terms of how joyful, loving and enthusiastic you are.” To imbibe the value of discipline among the students, the International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21, 2017 to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the world.
Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried every day. Children got the chance to know how yoga embodies unity of mind and body. 584 students from classes III – X performed Yoga after the morning assembly. Different yoga postures like Vrikshasana, Uttaanaasana, Trikonaasana, Bhadrasana, Shashankaasana, Bhujangasana and Pawana Muktaasana were performed as per AAYUSH guidelines. The event was a huge success under the guidance of Yoga expert Ms. Tilottama Lokre. The session ended with meditation and an oath by the students to maintain peace and harmony within as well as in the world.
